Buyback Terms: How Selling Your Device to 2USE Works

2USE (Second Use) is a Dubai company that takes your used smartphone, laptop, tablet, smartwatch or Apple accessory through one simple process, with three ways to get paid: an instant discount when you trade in, store credit with buyback, or cash when you sell.
You get an instant online estimate valid for 14 days, free pickup anywhere in the UAE, and an inspection by our specialists. These terms explain every step in plain language. By submitting a device, you agree to them.

How it works: one process, 3 endings
Get your estimate. Choose your device on the buyback page and answer a few questions about its condition.
Prepare your device. Back up your data, erase the device, remove the SIM card, and sign out of iCloud (Apple) or your Samsung account.
Hand it over. We collect it free from your door, or you can ship it to us or trade it in through Virgin Megastore.
Inspection. Our specialists test the device and confirm its final value.
Choose how you get paid:
Trade in: the value comes straight off the price of your new device, as an instant discount.
Buyback: the value goes to your account as store credit.
Sell: we pay you cash by bank transfer within 48 hours of inspection.
Terms
1. Who can take part
You must be at least 18 years old and the lawful owner of the device. At pickup, we may ask to see a valid Emirates ID or passport.
2. What you can trade in, buy back or sell
Smartphones, laptops, tablets, smartwatches and Apple accessories. Phones and tablets need no accessories. Laptops and smartwatches must come with their charger.
3. Your estimate
Your estimate is based on the answers you give about the device and stays valid for 14 days. The final value is confirmed after inspection (term 6). It's the same whichever ending you choose.
4. Before you hand it over
Back up your data. We don't offer a backup service.
Erase all content and settings.
Remove your SIM card and any memory card.
Apple: sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My.
Samsung: sign out of your Samsung account and turn off Find My Mobile.
A device that is still locked to an account can't be accepted until you unlock it.
5. Pickup, shipping and Virgin Megastore
We collect your device from your door anywhere in the UAE, free of charge. You can also ship it to us, or trade it in through Virgin Megastore.
6. Inspection and final value
Our trained specialists test and inspect every device. If it matches what you told us, your estimate is confirmed. If its condition, model or storage is different, we'll send you a revised offer. You can accept it, or decline it and we'll return your device free of charge.
7. Your three endings
Trade in: instant discount. The confirmed value is taken off the price of the device you're buying from 2USE, straight away.
Buyback: store credit. The confirmed value is added to your 2USE account as store credit, to spend on used phones, laptops and more. It's valid for 12 months and can't be exchanged for cash.
Sell: cash. We'll ask you to send us your bank account details, and we transfer the amount within 48 hours of inspection.
8. Your data
We wipe every device securely before it's reused or resold. Please still erase it yourself first (term 4). We're not responsible for data you haven't backed up. See our privacy policy.
9. Devices we can't accept
We can't accept devices that are reported lost or stolen, blacklisted, locked to an account, counterfeit, or not yours to hand over. These are returned to you. Where we suspect a device is stolen, we may report it to the authorities.
10. Cancelling
You can cancel free of charge at any time before pickup. After inspection, you can still decline a revised offer (term 6). Once your discount, store credit or payment has been issued, the transaction is final and the device belongs to 2USE.
11. Items left with the device
Please remove cases, SIM cards and memory cards. We're not responsible for items left with the device, but we'll return them if we can.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between trade-in, buyback and selling at 2USE?
It's one process with three endings. Trade in gives you an instant discount on the device you're buying from 2USE. Buyback gives you store credit, valid for 12 months. Selling gives you cash by bank transfer within 48 hours of inspection.
How quickly do I get my value?
Trade-in discounts apply straight away on your new device. Store credit is added after inspection. Cash is transferred to your bank account within 48 hours of inspection.
Is pickup free?
Yes. We collect your device free of charge from your door anywhere in the UAE. You can also trade in through Virgin Megastore.
What if my device's condition is different from what I said?
We send you a revised offer after inspection. You can accept it, or decline it and we'll return your device free of charge.
Can I hand over a phone that's locked to iCloud or a Google/Samsung account?
Not while it's locked. Sign out of iCloud (Apple) or your Samsung/Google account and turn off Find My before handing it over. Locked devices are returned.
Do I need an Emirates ID?
You must be 18+ and the device's owner. We may ask to see a valid Emirates ID or passport at pickup.
